It’s the second time we stayed there. The hotel is in an old palace and has a lot of character. It was clean, quiet, super well located, close to everything, easy to walk everywhere but also right at the Porta Velha (old city gate) which made it easy to get in and out by car. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff at hotel and the attached restaurant, Degust’ar, couldn’t have been more professional and friendly. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and spa.

Location just on the edge of Évora with its own parking garage, so none of the hassle of driving narrow one-way streets. Still central enough for most sights including NYE fireworks! Elegant but understated, helpful staff. So much to see in the area and this was an excellent base to continue exploring.

Our stay at M'AR De AR Aqueduto Was just lovely. This is a beautiful hotel in an historic building. It’s an ideal place to stay if you are driving in, very easy to get to and with the underground parking garage. The service from all staff members was impeccable. We especially appreciated Stephen’s help with parking our car. When we arrived early, there was construction blocking the entrance to the parking garage, so Stephen moved our car to an available space on the street and as soon as the road was cleared, he moved our car into the garage and carried our luggage to our room. So while we walked the 5 minutes to the main square of the town and enjoyed lunch, all of this was taken care of. Additionally, the room was very nice and breakfast each morning was delicious.
